About us
With a presence in over 100 countries, the Miguel Torres Chile family winery has cemented itself over the past 30 years as one of the main producers of high-quality wines, through the identity of its products, respect for the environment, and social responsibility.
Coming from a background with deep roots in Spain’s wine culture, Miguel Torres arrived in the Curicó Valley in 1979 after searching for a new location. Besides discovering excellent climate conditions, on this journey, the Torres family has committed to innovating in wine production, incorporating stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels into the process.
Miguel Torres Chile was the first to introduce new wine production techniques in this country, such as fermentation in stainless steel tanks and aging in French oak barrels.
The winery has also contributed to the growth of Chilean wines over the past 30 years.
Today, Miguel Torres Chile also focuses its commitment on organic vine growing, with several of our wines also certified as Fair Trade. These advances have helped us as a company to be more sustainable and to implement new projects.
In 2010, Miguel Torres Maczassek, from the fifth generation of the Torres family, took over as president of the company in Chile, going on to become the general manager of Familia Torres in Spain in 2012. This, combined with the inherited tradition of constant innovation, puts the winery in an excellent position to successfully tackle the challenges of the future.
